Information from Cerf Island Resort

It is advisable that existing and future clients have this information communicated to them.

Are there any refurbishment, renovations or building work planned adjacent or neighbouring to the hotel?

Yes- construction of tourism facilities, from November 2009 till December 2010. 

Working hours for building site are 9am to 5pm, seven days a week.

What does the work involve? (i.e. – drilling, hammering, painting, scaffolding etc):

All of the aforementioned.

How will the building work affect main service areas (pool, lobby, restaurants, bars, beach etc):

This will not affect the main service areas or any other guest facilities of Cerf Island Resort.

What is the extent of disturbance to guests (i.e. noise and dust, visual etc) and what is being done to minimise the impact?

Primarily, may be some noise; fences have been erected.

What facilities/services will not be available/limited to guests during the renovation?

All facilities will be accessible and available.

Can you guarantee rooms for guests away from the construction area?

Please note that many Villas are not affected at all, not even by noise, and that we are trying to assign Villas on the opposite side of the construction site.  As you will understand, we cannot guarantee that this will the case always, but we would like to reassure you that we will try our best to minimise the effect on our guests.

We are attaching Cerf Island bird's eye view map here, to help you visualise and therefore have a better understanding of where the works are taking place. The yellow area shows the existing hotel compound and the red area is the construction site. As you can see from this, the works site is away from our villas and there is no implications to our services and accessibility to our resort facilities apart from, if any, little noise disturbance occasionally.
