The launching of the book was in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the Islands Development Company (IDC) which is responsible of the management of these islands.
Tropical Island Recovery Cousine Island, Seychelles is also the first book to be released on Cousine Island and has been published by Wiley-Blackwell and authored by Micheal Samways, Peter Hitchins, Orty Bourquin and Jock Henwood.
This book provides a detailed description of Cousine’s recovery and restoration process since 1994. Moreover, it shows how such processes should be applied and can be adopted by other islands across the world as a reference for restoration and rehabilitation.
