Seychelles as an add-on to African holiday
by STB

Travel for leisure has taken new dimensions as more and more people are opting for international trips which allow them to discover new places and new cultures.
Visitors now looking to book their holidays to Africa are being encouraged to consider Seychelles as an add-on and get to see two destinations in one getaway from home.
Seychelles has since last year been partnering with Cape Town in South Africa and Kenya, to introduce such joint-holiday packages.
New negotiations have also started with Tanzania and Uganda to get visitors to the two countries to then enjoy the white sandy beaches of Seychelles after their safari holiday in Africa.
A Seychelles Tourism Board delegation visited the two countries in June and met with tour operators and travel agents to introduce Seychelles as a new holiday choice.
The tourism marketing Director of Africa and the Americas, David Germain, said the twin-centre concept is well penetrating the Kenyan market and producing positive result in terms of visitor arrivals, and such an outcome can also be achieved in Tanzania and Uganda.
“Seychelles is now affordable and together, we can put packages that allow clients to experience two destinations in one single holiday,” he said.
STB has since last year been diversifying its source markets and been tapping into regions with potential. East Africa is popular for its safaris and wildlife and it is easier now for tourists to fly on from there to Seychelles to enjoy what the country has termed as its unbeatable ‘BEST FIVE’: the beaches, diversity of islands, mixed ethnicity of the people, warm seas and year-round summer climate.
