A new restaurant, the Pirogue, has graced the popular beachfront of Cote d’Or, Praslin.
The 62-cover restaurant is owned by Rock Bedier and his wife Josette, both very experienced in the tourism and hospitality industry after having worked for 17 years at the Coco De Mer Hotel.
At the recent opening of the restaurant, Peter Moncherry from the Seychelles Tourism Board said it is inspiring to see dedicated Seychellois like Mr. and Mrs. Bedier running their own restaurant.
“This is an example to all Seychellois working, or wishing to work, in the industry of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication,” he said.
Mr. Moncherry congratulated the couple and called upon other Seychellois to commit themselves to the tourism industry, in order to operate their own establishments and do themselves and their country proud.
