Flying to Cape Town with Air Seychelles

The national airline, Air Seychelles, has since March 21, started flying to Cape Town, South Africa.
The flight is an extension of the Johannesburg flights and is being carried out as a trial until July 18, 2010.
The Cape Town-bound flights depart Seychelles on Sundays at 08.10a.m., arriving in Johannesburg at 11.25 a.m., flying on to Cape Town at 12.40 p.m. and landing there at 2.50 p.m.
The return flight then leaves the South African city on the same night at 8.30 p.m., stopping in Johannesburg at 10.40 p.m. and leaving for Seychelles at 11.55 p.m., landing on Mahe at 6.50 a.m. the next morning.
This trial extension is a joint-venture agreement between the national airline and Eden Island Development Company.
The direct Seychelles-Johannesburg-Seychelles flight will continue to operate on Fridays as per the normal schedule.
Cape Town meanwhile becomes Air Seychelles’ 10th destination after Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, Zurich, London, Paris, Singapore, Mauritius and Johannesburg.
Night flights to Gatwick as from April 2010
In addition to its two London Heathrow flights, Air Seychelles will be operating to London Gatwick with effect from April 19, 2010.
Flights will depart Seychelles on Monday evening and return on Tuesday evening with a stop in Rome in both directions.
